Konektao Talent

Candidate Privacy Notice

and Profile-Sharing Consent

Effective August 17, 2026 | Version 1.0

Plain-language summary. Konektao uses candidate information to operate the Talent portal, match candidates with work opportunities, and—when authorized—share profiles with verified clients. Candidates control whether their profile is searchable and may change that choice at any time.

1. Who We Are

Konektao Talent is operated by Konektao Global BPO Corporation (“Konektao,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Registered office: 311 AJV Residential & Commercial Building, 319 MacArthur Highway, Salapungan, Angeles City, Pampanga, Region III (Central Luzon) 2009, Philippines.

Konektao operates a talent portal that helps candidates discover employment and contracting opportunities and enables authorized employers, recruiters, and business clients (“Clients”) to identify suitable candidates.

2. Scope of This Notice

This Notice applies to individuals who create a Konektao Talent profile, apply for an opportunity through Konektao, participate in Konektao-supported recruitment, or otherwise ask Konektao to consider them for employment, contracting, freelance, or project-based opportunities (“Candidates”).

It explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to Candidates.

3. Personal Data We Collect

Depending on your use of the portal and the opportunities for which you are considered, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact information, including your name, email address, telephone number, general location, and account details.
  • Profile and application information, including your résumé or CV, work history, education, skills, qualifications, licenses, certifications, portfolio, job preferences, availability, compensation expectations, and work authorization.
  • Recruitment information, including applications, interview notes, screening responses, assessments, work samples, references, verification results, and communications with Konektao or Clients.
  • Optional media, including a photograph, audio or video introduction, or recorded interview response that you choose to provide.
  • Portal and technical information, including device and browser details, IP address, login activity, security logs, cookies, and interactions with the portal.
  • Other information that you voluntarily provide in your profile, application, or communications with us.

Please do not include sensitive personal information—such as medical details, government identification numbers, financial account information, religious beliefs, or criminal-proceeding information—unless Konektao specifically requests it for a legitimate and lawful recruitment purpose. When Konektao needs to collect sensitive personal information or privileged information, we will inform you of the specific information required, the purpose for collecting it, and the applicable legal basis, and obtain your consent when required by law.

4. Sources of Personal Data

We generally obtain personal data directly from you. We may also receive relevant information from a referrer, recruitment partner, professional networking service, previous employer, educational institution, credential-verification provider, assessment provider, publicly available professional source, or Client, when permitted by law. Where required, we will inform you or obtain your authorization before contacting references or conducting checks.

5. How and Why We Use Personal Data

We process personal data only for legitimate, declared, and specific purposes, including to:

  • Create, maintain, personalize, and secure your candidate account and profile.
  • Receive and manage applications, communications, interviews, assessments, references, and placement activity.
  • Evaluate qualifications and match or recommend Candidates for relevant roles, projects, or Clients.
  • Share profile information with Clients when your visibility setting or specific instruction permits it.
  • Contact you about applications, interviews, job matches, future opportunities, and essential portal notices.
  • Verify information, prevent fraud and misuse, investigate security incidents, and protect Candidates, Clients, and Konektao.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, contractual, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • Improve Konektao’s services using statistics, feedback, and aggregated or appropriately de-identified information.

Depending on the purpose, we process personal data on the lawful grounds provided under Sections 12 and 13 of the Data Privacy Act, including consent; contractual necessity; compliance with legal obligations; protection of life and health; lawful public authority requirements; legitimate interests that do not override the Candidate’s fundamental rights and freedoms; and, for sensitive personal information, the specific grounds permitted under Section 13.

6. Matching and Automated Tools

Konektao may use search, filtering, ranking, or recommendation tools to compare profile information—such as experience, skills, qualifications, preferences, and availability—with opportunity requirements. These tools support recruitment activity and do not guarantee that a Candidate will be displayed, shortlisted, interviewed, engaged, or hired.

Unless Konektao expressly tells you otherwise, automated tools do not make the final hiring decision. Clients remain responsible for their own review, interview, selection, and hiring decisions. You may contact us if you believe profile information used for matching is inaccurate or if you want information about a significant automated assessment affecting you.

7. Profile Visibility and Sharing with Clients

7.1 Shareable profile

If you affirmatively enable profile sharing, authorized Konektao Clients may find and review your profile for relevant opportunities, and Konektao may proactively recommend or share your profile with them.

7.2 Private profile

If your profile is private, it will not be searchable by Clients. Konektao may still share relevant information with a Client when you apply for that Client’s opportunity or separately instruct us to share your profile. New profiles should remain private until the Candidate makes an affirmative visibility choice.

7.3 Information that may be shared

  • Your name, general location, and—when appropriate—contact details.
  • Your résumé or CV, work history, education, skills, qualifications, licenses, and certifications.
  • Your job preferences, availability, compensation expectations, portfolio, work samples, or optional introduction materials.
  • Application responses, assessments, interview information, or verification results relevant to the opportunity and lawfully shareable.
  • Other information that you intentionally place in your shareable profile or authorize us to provide.

7.4 Previously shared information

Clients may download or retain Candidate information for legitimate recruitment, hiring, workforce-planning, compliance, or recordkeeping purposes. After a Client receives your information, that Client may act as a separate personal information controller and should handle the information under its own privacy notice and applicable law.

Changing your profile to private or withdrawing consent will stop future sharing based on that permission. It will not automatically retrieve an application or copy already lawfully shared, prevent a Client from contacting you about a prior application, or require deletion of information that Konektao or a Client must retain by law or for a valid legal claim. Where appropriate, Konektao may assist you in directing a correction or deletion request to a Client.

8. Service Providers and Other Disclosures

Konektao may provide personal data to carefully selected service providers that support hosting, communications, security, analytics, candidate assessment, verification, customer support, or recruitment administration. They may process information only for authorized purposes and must protect it through appropriate contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, court order, or lawful government request; protect persons or systems from fraud, abuse, or security threats; enforce agreements or protect legal rights; or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or transfer of business subject to applicable privacy requirements.

Konektao does not sell Candidate personal data for unrelated third-party advertising.

9. International Data Transfers

Some Clients or service providers may be located outside the Philippines or may process data using systems hosted abroad. When personal data is transferred internationally, Konektao will use appropriate contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards required by applicable law. Where a separate notice or consent is required for a particular transfer or category of sensitive personal information, Konektao will provide it.

10. Security

Konektao uses reasonable and appropriate organizational, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, alteration, loss, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, or unauthorized access. These measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, staff confidentiality duties, vendor controls, backups, and incident-response procedures.

No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Candidates should use a strong password, protect account credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access to privacy@konektao.com.

11. Data Retention

Konektao retains Candidate information only for as long as reasonably necessary for active recruitment, the Candidate’s consent to be considered for future opportunities, legal and regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and security.

Unless a longer period is required or justified by law, an inactive Candidate profile will be retained for up to two (2) years after the Candidate’s last account activity or meaningful recruitment interaction. Konektao may contact the Candidate to refresh consent or profile information before that period ends. When retention is no longer necessary, information will be securely deleted, anonymized, or otherwise disposed of in accordance with applicable requirements.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its implementing rules, and other applicable laws, you have the right to:

  • Be informed about the collection and processing of your personal data.
  • Access personal data Konektao holds about you.
  • Correct inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information.
  • Object to processing in circumstances recognized by law.
  • Withdraw consent without affecting processing lawfully completed before withdrawal.
  • Request erasure, blocking, or restriction when legally available.
  • Receive eligible information in a portable format.
  • Be informed of a qualifying personal data breach.
  • Seek indemnification or damages when legally available.
  • Submit a complaint to the Philippine National Privacy Commission.

To exercise any of these rights, contact Konektao’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) at privacy@konektao.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and protect your account. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

13. Withdrawal and Account Choices

You may change your profile visibility or withdraw optional consent at any time through available portal settings or by contacting privacy@konektao.com. Withdrawal stops future processing that depends solely on the withdrawn consent, but it does not invalidate earlier lawful processing or override lawful retention obligations.

If you withdraw profile-sharing consent, Konektao can keep your profile private or close your account at your request, subject to lawful retention. A private profile may reduce the opportunities for which Konektao can proactively consider you.

14. Candidate Responsibilities

By submitting information, you confirm that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, is yours to provide, and will be updated when materially inaccurate or outdated. Before submitting another person’s personal data—such as a reference’s contact information—you must have appropriate permission to do so.

Konektao Talent is intended for individuals who are legally capable of providing the required information and consent. If a minor may lawfully use the service, Konektao may require consent from a parent or legal guardian and apply additional safeguards.

15. Changes to This Notice

Konektao may update this Notice to reflect changes in its services, practices, or legal obligations. The revised Notice will identify its effective date. If a change materially affects how Konektao uses or shares Candidate information, Konektao will provide appropriate notice and obtain new consent where required.

16. Contact and Complaints

Questions, requests, suspected security incidents, or privacy complaints may be directed to:

  • Data Protection Officer (DPO), Konektao Global BPO Corporation
  • 311 AJV Residential & Commercial Building, 319 MacArthur Highway, Salapungan, Angeles City, Pampanga 2009, Philippines
